This was extremely entertaining, especially since I have a personal connection with this kind of thing. I laughed a decent amount, which isn't too common at comedy movies nowadays.
So Patrick Dempsey is Tom Bailey, the 10-year best friend of Hannah (Michelle Monaghan). Just when Tom starts to realize nothing would be the same without Hannah in his life, Hannah calls him to ask him to be her maid of honor in her wedding to a Scotsman after being on vacation only six weeks in Europe. Now, with his feelings on the line, Tom pushes aside his serial dating habits and decides to go after the one he truly loves with all of his heart.
I absolutely loved the premise, which makes this movie pretty cool, to say the least. However, I'm not a fan of Patrick Dempsey, as he has too much of a smug and rude demeanor in real life and in movies. Despite this, he displays a bit of skill in Made of Honor. I thought I would like Michelle Monaghan more, but at least she is somewhat funny. This reminds me of people who want to move to a foreign country or marry someone after such a short time without considering the little changes that make a huge difference, such as types of food or even toilet designs.
