Hah. Funny, although not as funny as I thought it would be. Naturally, and just as the producers wanted it to be, the plot of the movie was pretty much unknown to everyone until the second someone watched it for the first time. For that same reason, I won't summarize it. If you like The Simpsons enough, you'd watch it anyway. I will say that it was a little too serious in nature for being based off of such a humorous and relentless cartoon. There was drama. It wasn't completely unappetizing, but a little too different from the TV series. However, there still existed plenty of brilliant punchlines and stupid jokes to go around. I can't say I've ever been a big fan of the show, but I did sink into this movie almost as much as I would have if I did watch it regularly. It was good, but just a little too strict. One thing I loved, however, is that none of the characters' voices were noticeably changed. In terms of them, it very much felt like The Simpsons.
I don't know if I'd buy it. If I did, it would be for collection purposes, rather than to enable me to watch it again. 5.7.
