What Happens in Vegas

Cameron Diaz is Joy McNally, a recently heartbroken shale of a woman who decides to head to Las Vegas to get her life rolling again. However, Jack Fuller (Ashton Kutcher) has the same idea, but only to hook up with chicks in the city of greed and lust. After quite a few drinks, both of them sense a bit of chemistry between them and sleep together. The next morning, they find that they are married, and soon afterward win the lottery for $3,000,000. They each try to get the money and their sanity back by getting divorced, but a judge orders them to stay together for six months to at least try the marriage out.
Now, of course the beginning is funny. This is a pretty original premise. Where it screws up is when it turns into a romance movie like every other trite film that has ever existed. Once it hits the middle of this movie, it's no longer very entertaining anymore, because it lost its spark by trying to be romantic and losing the comedy effect almost entirely.
So maybe the fact that these two are forced to stay married is a bit unrealistic. I liked it enough that at least it wasn't a waste. 7.2.
